Hello, I’m Bei Mary Lu

Welcome to My Tea Space!

I'm the founder of Mary’s Tea Talk, a tea-based wellness and emotional renewal practice inspired by Eastern tea culture.

I believe love is a skill, and love is a strength. Throughout my life, I have been drawn to helping people grow, feel cared for, and discover the beauty in everyday life.

From Nurturing Children to Supporting Well-Being

Originally from Hong Kong, I founded and operated a Mandarin learning center for nearly 20 years. Working with children and their families taught me the importance of patience, understanding, encouragement, and meaningful connection.

After moving to the United States in 2016, my family’s experiences with nutrition and wellness inspired me to deepen my studies in nutrition and healthy living. I later pursued training in mental health coaching to better understand the emotional challenges people face in everyday life.

These experiences helped me see that caring for people means looking beyond physical health. It also means making room for our emotions, relationships, and inner lives.

How a Cup of Tea Became My Inspiration

Some of my warmest childhood memories begin with a pot of fragrant tea shared with family.

Tea was never just a drink. It was a moment to slow down, show care, listen, and be together.

As life becomes increasingly busy, many of us forget to pause and reconnect with ourselves. I began to see how a simple tea ritual could create a small but meaningful space in the day—a space to breathe, reflect, appreciate, and reconnect.

That inspiration became Mary’s Tea Talk.

More Than a Tea Experience. A Practice for Everyday Life.

At Mary’s Tea Talk, I believe that one tea ritual can teach us a healthy practice we can take home and make part of everyday life.

Through mindful tea preparation, aroma, tasting, gentle movement, nutrition education, and guided conversations, I invite people to discover simple ways to care for themselves and build healthier daily habits.

You don’t need an elaborate tea room or expensive equipment. A quiet corner at home and a cup of tea can be enough to begin.

My goal is not simply to offer a beautiful tea experience. It is to help people learn a practice they can continue on their own—at home, with family, and in their communities.

Emotional Renewal: Pause. Reflect. Reconnect.

Through mindful tea rituals and guided conversations, I create a welcoming space for self-reflection, emotional awareness, and meaningful connection.

I hope each person can find a little more room to understand their feelings, recognize their own worth, appreciate the good around them, and reconnect with the people who matter.

At Mary’s Tea Talk, this journey takes three forms:

  • Tea Ritual: Pause, reconnect with yourself, and notice the beauty around you.
  • Tea & Wellness: Explore gentle movement, tea aroma, nutrition education, and everyday habits that support well-being.
  • Tea Ritual with Family: Share tea as a way to express appreciation, listen with care, and nurture relationships between couples and across generations.

My Philosophy of Well-Being

For me, true holistic health is the well-being of the body, mind, and spirit—with spiritual well-being at the heart of it all.

Our well-being is not only about what we add to our lives. It is also about what we make room for: rest, gratitude, understanding, and meaningful connection.

I believe that when we create space to pause, reflect, and reconnect, we make room for healing, growth, and a deeper sense of peace and joy.

This is why I hope Mary’s Tea Talk can be more than a tea experience.

My goal is not simply to offer a beautiful tea experience. It is to help people learn a practice they can continue on their own—at home, with family, and in their communities.

Learn the ritual. Take it home. Live the practice.

Let tea become a simple and meaningful part of your everyday life—a way to care for yourself, nurture your relationships, and create space for what truly matters.

You don’t need to know anything about tea to begin. You only need a moment and a willingness to pause.
